The Canadian County Juvenile Detention Sanctions Program is a 7 bed, short term program, housed inside the Canadian County Juvenile Detention Center.  The program is contracted through the Office of Juvenile Affairs.  The sanctions residents are kept separated from the regular detention residents and the emphasis of the program is different. 

The sanctions program is available to all 77 counties in Oklahoma, and is a consequence for the courts to use in cases of probation rule violations.  Our residents are all Juveniles and stay in the program for only 3,4,or 5 days.  The goal of the program is to deter a juvenile’s negative behavior and reinforce court ordered rules and parental authority.  This short-term program is designed to impact youth immediately when their negative behavior begins therefore deterring them from progressing further into delinquent behavior. 

VIEW SANCTIONS CALENDAR 

All referrals must be made over the phone after Sanctions has been ordered. Any given dates prior to court/phone referral are not definite.  You must call and do a referral with Mrs. Thomas (Ms. Ruzicka or Ms. McClain, if Mrs. Thomas is not available), after court. No beds can be held unless they have been ordered.

All referrals made MUST have all paperwork turned it within 24 hours after referral has been made to confirm bed.  All residents must be dropped off and picked up between 8 am and 12 pm.
